Southern US will see more severe weather Friday after devastating Ohio Valley tornado outbreak.

Friday saw another round of powerful storms in the Ohio Valley a day after a disastrous storm. The strong weather system from Thursday will hit the Southeast and Southern Plains on Friday. Since atmospheric energy is lower than Thursday, the severe threat will lessen, but severe storms will be likely across South Texas and the Deep South through the afternoon.

The NOAA Storm Prediction Center has upgraded South Texas, including San Antonio, to Level 3 severe weather. Early storms will be separate supercells with baseball-sized hail. A tornado or two may occur if storms remain east of I-35 and with 60 mph or greater wind gusts.

As multiple rounds of rain fall in locations already having a rainy start to the year, flash floods will escalate. Level 2 flash floods are expected in Austin on Friday and southeastern Texas, including Houston, on Saturday.

Rain will fall daily in the south, with Texas to Georgia expecting storms by Saturday. While severe weather is unlikely, this activity is forecast to bring 1-2 inches of rain, with some spots getting 3 inches. Thursday saw over 300 severe weather reports, including eight tornadoes in Ohio, Indiana, and Texas. The FOX Forecast Center reported over 200 hail incidents, including Oklahoma's highest 4.5-inch hail, and over 100 severe wind gusts.

As a result of the tornado devastation, the governor of Indiana discovered that fifty percent of Selma's structures were damaged.
